In the Nordics snow changes everything. When the streets are packed with snow, urban and nature seemlesly blend together. The idea of Slede was born through our community. A community, who still looked at the snowy streets through the eyes of a skateboarder. Slede stems from having fun, and now we want to share the fun.
Slede has been developed for hard use and we have been testing it for years. And everything comes together in the functional aesthetics of the skateboard, the new parts fit the existing tradition. So many details make our patent what it is and how it works like a skateboard on snow.
We make the skis. They are handmade in Finland. We press them from the highest quality materials, 70% of which is recycled material. Our base is a high-quality sintered base that maximizes glide and strength.
First the performance and then the ecological values. And how well these values really fit together! Quality and performance are environmental values when the product lasts a long time.
We also made this board to reduce stress and the need to drive far for an inspiring sports session. You can take it to the resort. You can take it to the backyard.
The choice is yours!
After many test events and hundreds of hill bombs, we can say this as a fact. Children get the hang of balance very quickly and they love Slede. You don't need to have a skateboarding background, you can ride Slede anyway. Hill climbing is good exercise and riding Slede develops balance and coordination.
If your child spends too much time on the phone, you should try Slede. And if you have a slope or hill nearby, it really makes sense. Skateboarding is safe enough when done right. With Slede, you have even less stress with the same benefits.
You can't stop yourself from running up the hill when you test the Slede. Come back down and enjoy! And that's why this is such a good exercise! It doesn't seem demanding, but it will actually make you stronger faster than you realize!
“Absolute fun to stay fit. As an old former skateboarder, I built my muscles back into skateboarding with Slede in one season and felt more confident skateboarding in the snow. Some of the tricks seemed hard to land, but when I finally did, the same trick with the skateboard was so easy”
What about a skateboarder aiming high, will he benefit from the Slede. Unlike other snowskates, Slede has exactly the same control and balance, so it strengthens the same muscle groups as skateboarding. The snow makes it a little more difficult because it's variable and it's harder to do tricks. This makes it a good muscle workout not only for the average sports fan, but also for the professional skateboarder. And the best part is pure fun, which is a real motivator for developing pop and reflexes.
